The response to last week’s poll was incredibly underwhelming. I’m so glad I wasn’t waiting for all the responses, because I would have missed out on some great gaming this week. Dragon Age: Origins is the first game in years (really, years) that I have to stop myself from playing. I could easily play this game all night. I have to force myself to stop when it gets to midnight, because I don’t have the luxury of getting up whenever I want to the following day. I’m probably about 8 hours in, and I have to say, the sheer number of sidequests is going to be the death of me. There’s no way I can finish it before Dragon Age II releases next week, but I really want to get these games finished before the end of the year.
On top of that, I picked back up Mass Effect over the weekend. I love this game so, so much as well. My only complaints so far are with driving the Mako (although having a cannon with a scope on it is pretty cool) and the little mini-games you have to do to open a locker. I’ve heard a lot of people complain about those things as well as the RPG elements, like assigning skills to your character and squad-mates. I originally had it so the game auto-leveled for me, but last night I turned off my auto-leveling for Shepard. I didn’t like where it was going with auto-leveling. It’s not set to my playing style, so I want back in control.
So yes, in other words, I’m pretty much Bioware’s bitch right now, and I’m happy to be so. I forgot how much fun RPGs can be, sad to say.
As for this week’s poll question, I want to know what your favorite ME game was. I have a feeling I know what the outcome will be, but I’m curious if there are those who like other ME games aside from ME2. Go vote!
Btw, my Commander Shepard rocks, and my DAO character rules. My DAO dog kicks both of their asses, literally. I’ve defeated a boss with just my dog. Really.

I still haven’t gotten around to playing Mass Effect 2 even though it’s on the PS3 now. It’s on the GameFly list though.
